Neville's Inner Vision
Read as a psalm of your inner life, Exodus 29:36-42 invites you to treat your mind as an altar upon which daily states are offered. The bullock for sin is the old self you surrender, and cleansing the altar is the moment when attention is purified and oriented toward the I AM that you are. The seven days of atonement are the daily practice of setting your consciousness apart as holy, so that anything touching it—thoughts, fears, hopes—receives a sanctified quality. The two lambs, offered morning and evening, symbolize the recurring acts of pure suggestion you repeat: you align with a present tense assumption at dawn and reaffirm it at dusk. The flour, oil, and wine you mix with the first lamb represent nourishment and atmosphere for imagination—the practical ideas you feed on and the emotional energy you pour into the image of your fulfilled state. This, a sweet savour, is the offering made by fire unto the LORD: your inner conviction, felt as if already yours. And at the door of your tabernacle, I AM will meet you, speaking from within your own heart.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly and assume the state 'I am the I AM presence meeting me now at the door of my tabernacle.' Feel this meeting as real, letting it tint your thoughts and sensations for a minute.
