Biblical Context
Exodus 29:26-28 directs that the breast of Aaron's consecration be waved as a wave offering and sanctified as Aaron's portion, a lasting share from the people’s peace offerings to the LORD. The passage sets this wave/heave offering as an enduring covenant gesture.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your inner life is the ram; the breast of its consecration is the heart’s love offered to the LORD of your awareness. To wave it before God is to bring your feeling-tone into alignment with the I AM that you are conscious of within. Sanctifying the breast and the shoulder represents consecrating both your tenderness and your energy to your true self, the priestly you who stands in covenant loyalty. When you declare that this portion belongs to Aaron and his sons forever, you are asserting that this inner state is forever designated for the royalty of your own consciousness. The ritual thus becomes a map for inner worship: worship is not in outward form but in the steady, imaginative act of recognizing God as your life. By repeatedly assuming the feeling of this inner priesthood, you redraw your sense of self and reality, until every thought, choice, and action flows from the I AM within. In that light, your outer life reflects the temple you have consciously claimed within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine lifting the heart as the wave offering before the LORD within; feel the I AM recognizing itself as your life, and hold that feeling there for a breath.
