Read Exodus 28 in context

Scripture Focus

6And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.
7It shall have the two shoulderpieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and so it shall be joined together.
8And the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
Exodus 28:6-8

Biblical Context

The ephod is a sacred garment fashioned from gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine linen, with two joined shoulderpieces and a matching girdle.

Neville's Inner Vision

The ephod here is not cloth but the attire of consciousness you awaken to wear. Gold denotes the wealth of divine presence within; blue is steadfast faith; purple is the sovereignty of mind; scarlet represents vibrant life in action; linen signifies pure perception. The two shoulderpieces joined at the edges show will and imagination, discernment and love, already united in the I AM. The girdle, woven from the same colors, binds the garment to the heart, anchoring your sense of I AM to God within. When you imagine yourself wearing this ephod, you align your inner state with a higher order, knowing that God is not distant but present as your awareness. Your outer circumstances reflect the coherence of consciousness you claim inside.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine the ephod resting on your shoulders. Assume you already wear it, sensing the unity of its colors as one conscious garment.
