Biblical Context
Aaron and his sons must approach the sanctuary without guilt, bearing no iniquity; the verse frames this conduct as an eternal statute for them and their descendants.
Neville's Inner Vision
Exodus 28:43 presents Aaron and his sons at the threshold of the sanctuary, ministering before the inner I AM. The tabernacle and altar are inner stations of consciousness, and to enter them is to assume a state, not to perform a distant ritual. Bear not iniquity becomes a law for your inner life: do not carry guilt as you come near the sacred within. When you dwell in the I AM, you align with the truth that you are already clean, and your imagination must not project condemnation. The verse calls this a statute forever—a steady, enduring condition you can sustain from generation to generation in your thought-world. The seed after him is the stream of thoughts, feelings, and choices that flow from your established holiness. Thus the command is not punitive but enabling: your inner sanctuary remains inviolate as you persist in the assumption of your divine nature. You are invited to inhabit the priestly posture, seeing the barrier of guilt dissolve as you realize the tabernacle is built within you, and you minister from the I AM.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, I AM the holiness within me. Then revise: I approach my inner sanctuary free of guilt; my thoughts and feelings serve the sacred work.
