Inner Gate of Consciousness
Exodus 27:14-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse describes the gate with hangings on each side, each fifteen cubits long, and supported by three pillars and three sockets. The two sides are equal, emphasizing balance at the gate of the courtyard.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the sacred layout of the tabernacle, the gate is not a mere entry in space but a doorway into my own consciousness. The two hangings, identical in length, show me to hold a steady balance of thought, intention, and faith. The three pillars on each side are my present states of awareness—attention, belief, and discipline—upholding the boundary, while the three sockets ground those states in the I AM here and now. Holiness and separation are inward alignments that convert ordinary events into offerings of covenant loyalty to my true self. To worship truly, I need not flee life, but establish a sacred frame through which all experience can pass unpolluted by doubt. The Presence of God is not distant but rests behind the gate, reachable as I maintain the boundary with consistent thought and feeling. By envisioning this gate as my inner doorway, I participate in divine order and let my choices confirm my covenant with the I AM.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and stand at the gate of your consciousness. Visualize the equal hangings, with three pillars and three sockets on each side; affirm I AM as the boundary through which divine life flows, and let this boundary feel steady each time you repeat it.
