Biblical Context
Exodus 25:3–7 lists the materials offered to build the sanctuary, symbolizing the inner resources of a consecrated mind. It invites you to see every possession as a state of consciousness offered to God within.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here is the inner workshop where your imagination is the master builder. The gold, silver, brass, textiles, skins, oils, spices, stones — they are not distant treasures but names for states of consciousness you must marshal to sanctify your mind. Gold is the knowledge of I AM, the awareness that never dwindles. Blue and purple and scarlet are faith, royalty of perception, and passion aligned with divine order. Fine linen speaks of purity, goats' hair of humble service, red-dyed skins of transformation, shittim wood of steadfast imagination. The oil is illumination for your inner lamp; spices and incense are the fragrance of prayer rising from a grateful heart; onyx stones mark the stones of your identity set in the ephod and breastplate, signifying the order by which you know yourself in God. As you 'offer' these inner materials, you are practicing true worship: you are choosing states of consciousness that affirm the presence of God within, separating from doubt, and renewing covenant loyalty to the I AM. Build the sanctuary within; your life will reflect its grandeur.
Practice This Now
Select one inner material state today and place it on the altar of your mind; then feel the lamp of your awareness illuminate your life. Assume, for a moment, 'I AM' and feel it real.
