Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Moses records the LORD’s words, erects an altar with twelve pillars, offers sacrifices, reads the covenant, and the people vow obedience; Moses then sprinkles blood on the altar and the people to seal the covenant.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine the scene as an inner act of self-recognition. Moses writes the words of the LORD into your memory as a decree from the I AM, your real self. The altar represents the place where you fix your intention; the twelve pillars correspond to the twelve faculties of mind you consent to employ as your daily life. The burnt offerings and peace offerings symbolize what you are willing to give up and preserve to sustain the new state. Moses taking the blood and sprinkling on the altar and the people shows that your inner state and your outer self are joined—awareness and expression are one. Reading the book of the covenant is your inner program, and the people’s vow, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient, is your I AM aligning with that decree. When you declare the blood on the people is the covenant, you claim that your entire being is bathed in the Living Law. Practically, choose a specific decree, assume it now, and feel the inner state as already true, letting outward conditions follow.
Practice This Now
Assume the covenant now as a present fact. Feel the blood of the covenant as your life-force and let your outer reality reflect the inner obedience.
