Exodus 23:20-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Exodus 23 in context

Scripture Focus

20Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
Exodus 23:20-21

Biblical Context

Exodus describes an angelic guide who leads you toward a prepared place. The guidance is personal and demands obedience because the divine presence dwells in that inner voice.

Neville's Inner Vision

The angel is not another being but the state of consciousness you enter when you align with your I AM. Your true self, the I AM, sends this inner guide ahead to keep you on the right path and to usher you into the place your imagination has prepared. The voice you hear is the living memory of you as you intend to be; treating it with reverence and obedience honors the name that dwells within. If you resist or doubt the inner impulse, you delay the unfolding of your desired state. The practical truth is that the world follows the inner state you maintain in imagination. Therefore cultivate the attitude of already having arrived, and let the inner guidance operate on your behalf. The Angel's function is to steer you toward your own consciousness, not to frighten you; simply listen, align, and move as if the place is prepared.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and declare I am guided by my inner Angel, and I have already arrived at the place prepared. Feel the certainty of that state and proceed from it.
