Exodus 23:19

Biblical Context

Exodus 23:19 calls you to bring the firstfruits of your land to the LORD and to keep new life from being cooked in old conditions.

Neville's Inner Vision

Exodus 23:19 invites you to offer the firstfruits of your land to the LORD, not as a ritual for an external temple but as a discipline of your inner awareness. The 'first of the firstfruits' is the initial image and impulse that arise when your attention rests in the I AM. Bringing them into the house of the LORD thy God means inviting that fresh energy into the throne room of your consciousness, where it can be recognized as yours and not as something borrowed from fear or lack. The prohibition 'thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk' is a warning against cooking that newborn impulse in the old milk of conditioning; do not blend the new wish with the stale beliefs that have kept you small. Keep the offering pure by not mixing it with stories of limitation. When you repeatedly dwell in the feeling of the wish fulfilled, you present the firstfruits to the inner temple, and the I AM bends the world to your victorious image. Your life becomes a temple in which the imagined state stands as fact.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling that your firstfruits are already in your inner temple. Revise any old belief that would spoil them and feel it real now.
