Inner Covenant of Authority

Exodus 22:28 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Exodus 22 in context

Scripture Focus

28Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.
Exodus 22:28

Biblical Context

Exodus 22:28 commands not to revile the gods or curse the ruler of the people. It anchors respect for spiritual authorities and for the governing power within the community.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this verse the gods and the ruler are not distant beings but images formed by your own states of consciousness. To not revile them is to stop warring with parts of your mind that govern your life. The I AM, the awareness you are, must not curse its own order; rather, it honors the inner governor that shapes events when you believe in it. By withholding contempt you allow the inner movement of life to harmonize with the order you have conceived as real. The command becomes a practice: reframe any source of authority as an invited partner in your dream, a facet of your own mind you can align with. When you revise your perception—assume the part of you that is king and that perceives life as its own manifestation—you feel trust replacing fear. In this light, the law and commandment are invitations to steady your inward state until your outward world reflects that settled conviction.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the I AM as ruler within you. Revise any judgment of inner authorities and feel it real.
