Biblical Context
Moses intervenes when the shepherds drive away the sisters; he helps them by watering their flock. This brief act reveals courage and mercy in action.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the inner scene is a state of awareness, not a distant historical event. The shepherds represent harsh, oppressive thoughts driving away your gentler, dependent states. Moses is the I AM—your awakened self—rising within the mind to defend, not to condemn; he acts to defy the memory that life is scarce. By standing up and watering the flock, he nourishes what was left thirsty in you—your capacity to care, to give, to supply the energy of life. Water is life-force, a symbol of renewal poured into neglected channels. When you imagine that your life is already supplied, you align with the victorious state and make it real in consciousness. This is the method: assume the feeling of the fulfilled intention; revise the scene until it feels natural and true; then let that feeling permeate your days as if it had already happened. The oppressed become the very idea you are defending—your own awareness—so that compassion becomes your operating principle and justice flows from your settled I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume the role of Moses—the awakened I AM—standing between oppression and your vulnerable state, revise the scene so the sisters are watered and safe, and feel the healing energy as already yours.
