Inner Victory Through Raised Hands
Exodus 17:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse records that victory comes when Moses' hands are held up; lowering them signals a shift toward defeat. It illustrates how outer outcomes reflect an inner posture of awareness.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this scene you are looking at your own I AM, the unwavering awareness within. When you hold up the sign of attention—the continued focus of your inner state—Israel, the crisp state of consciousness that perceives truth, prevails over Amalek, the merely external force of limitation. Letting the hands fall represents a momentary surrender to doubt or distraction, which allows the opposing tendency to gain ground. The miracle is not a distant event but the present alignment of your mind with the feeling of the fulfilled desire. The uplifted hand is a symbol of sustained imaginative conviction: I AM here, I AM now, and I am the power by which all things come to be. Therefore, cultivate a routine of imagining your state as already achieved, and persist in that elevated posture until the outer scene reflects it. The lesson: victory follows the inner posture that never wavers from the I AM.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled and consciously keep your inner 'hand' raised in awareness for several minutes. If doubt arises, revise by reaffirming, 'I AM lifting this victory now.'
