Biblical Context
Exodus 16:4-5 speaks of God raining bread from heaven to test obedience, with a double portion on the sixth day.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the scene as a mirror of your inner state. The bread from heaven is not a meal handed to a crowd but a stream of ideas and feelings that flow when you inhabit a recognized state of I AM. Each day you go out to gather a 'certain rate' of imagination—the exact amount you expect to meet your needs. The test is whether you walk in the inner law of belief, steady in your assumption that you are cared for by a benevolent order of consciousness. When you act from that inner law, the supply that appears is not random but in accord with your inner alignment. On the sixth day, the instruction to gather double reveals that sustained, disciplined belief yields extra abundance without strain—proof that rest in the law deepens the reach of your creative act. The rain of manna is God within, answering the question, 'What do you truly believe?' So the key is not to seek supply elsewhere but to decide in the I AM that you are already provided.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine a table of daily bread appearing as a natural result of your I AM. Then revise: 'Today I gather one measure; on the sixth day I gather twice as much, through the law within me.'
