Sweet Waters of Inner Law
Exodus 15:25-27 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Exodus 15 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Moses cries to the LORD; a tree is shown to sweeten the waters, and God gives statutes as a pathway to healing, guiding the people to Elim, a resting place with abundant water and trees.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the scene, I cry to the Lord within and witness a tree cast into the waters of my mind, turning bitterness into sweetness. The tree symbolizes transformation through alignment with an inner truth. The statute and ordinance are not external decrees but inner laws I choose to live by, the voice of the I AM guiding my thoughts and feelings. When I diligently hearken to that inner voice and keep its statutes, I dissolve the belief in disease and step into healing as my natural state. I am the One who heals; healing is the present experience of consciousness in harmony, not a distant result. Elim becomes my inner climate of rest and plenty, a place where perception flows like twelve wells and grace antecedes every moment. Obedience and faithfulness are not burdens but conditions for the full circulation of life within me, revealing the covenant loyalty I already am.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and, in imagination, cast a transforming tree into the waters of your mind, tasting the sweetness of healing; then rest in the awareness of Elim’s abundant life.
