Inner Sea Crossing of Destiny
Exodus 14:21-31 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Exodus 14 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Moses stretches his hand and the sea parts, letting Israel walk across on dry ground while Pharaoh's army is overwhelmed. The people witness the Lord's mighty saving work and rise in fear and faith toward Him and Moses.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your true exodus is not from a distant land but from a stubborn consciousness clinging to limitation. The parting of the waters is the moment your I AM asserts itself over the dream of separation. The east wind is a shift in awareness, pushing old beliefs to the left and right so you may walk through the sea of yourself on dry ground. The walls of water on either side stand for the two aspects of your awareness—what you now know and what you yet allow—held apart by a single, unwavering attention to the Presence that I AM. The pursuit of Pharaoh's army becomes the inner fear that says, 'This is too big for me;' yet the Lord looking through the pillar of fire confirms, 'I fight for you.' When you stretch forth the hand of conviction and dare to trust, the sea returns to its strength only after you have stepped into the freedom of your true self. The deliverance is not a history lesson but a state of consciousness revealed as experience.
Practice This Now
Imaginatively stand at the shore of your own sea. Assume the I AM is parting the waters of limitation and feel yourself stepping onto dry ground, delivered.
