Read Esther 9 in context

Scripture Focus

2The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.
3And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them.
Esther 9:2-3

Biblical Context

The Jews gathered in their cities to defend themselves, and fear fell on their enemies as rulers aided them.

Neville's Inner Vision

Esther 9:2-3 speaks not of a political insurrection but of a state of consciousness waking to protect what is true. The Jews gathering in their cities represents the mind gathering its faculties in the belief that life is for protection, not injury. When the inner state is resolute, no opposing force can withstand that intention, for fear obeys the reality that arises from within. The fear that falls on all peoples is the fear of the inner truth becoming manifest; the rulers respond because the I AM in them recognizes the same law and lends support. Providence is the steady hand guiding the responses of others in proportion to our own inner alignment. This is salvation and justice arriving not as external decree but as inner acknowledgement: your steadfast unity acts as defense, and the world rearranges itself to honor your right to be whole. The arc of Esther is the arc of every consciousness declaring, 'I am a rightful, defended form of life.'

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, revise the scene in your mind: I am unity defending what is true; feel the fear yield to a protective consciousness.
