Biblical Context
In Esther 6:9-12, the king orders Mordecai to be honored, and Haman must dress him and parade him through the city. The scene ends with Haman humiliated while Mordecai remains at the gate, signaling a swift inner reversal.
Neville's Inner Vision
Esther 6:9-12 reveals a law of inner recognition. The man the king delights to honour is the state of consciousness you have invited into your heart. The apparel and the horse are the forms by which you clothe that state, and the march through the street is the public demonstration of your inner decision. Haman, mocked by the reversal, represents the old self—fear and pride—the ego clinging to control. Mordecai at the king's gate is the I AM in you, quiet, already honored by your higher self. When the king commands, do thus to Mordecai, you see your own energy redirected: the instrument meant for another becomes the instrument for your own good. The reversal is release: the outer scene mirrors the inner decree that you are beloved by the divine within. As you imagine and feel the honor accorded to Mordecai, feel that same honor now, here, as your own reality. The drama dissolves into grace, and your life begins to move in alignment with a royal self-identity.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the state of being honored by the I AM. Revise your self-concept to 'I am the one the king delights to honor' and feel that image marching through your inner city.
