Biblical Context
The king's insomnia prompts discovery of Mordecai's past service; Haman's plot to hang Mordecai backfires, and Mordecai is publicly honored, signaling providential reversal and the dignity of the faithful.
Neville's Inner Vision
In Esther 6:1-14 the king's sleepless night stands as a symbol for the restless state of consciousness; the chronicles are the recorded inner motions of your being. Mordecai represents the faithful service within you, awaiting rightful recognition. Haman's appearance in the court mirrors the ego's craving for self-importance, which, when asked what should be done to the one the king desires to honor, projects grand external honors for itself. The I AM asks you to honor the true inner knight: when you revise your sense of self, the outer world aligns to reflect that internal state. The reversal: Mordecai's honor instead of Mordecai's doom shows that the inner law governs appearances; your life will mirror your inward honor. Providential deliverance comes through humility and the meekness of accepting your own inner nobility as established by awareness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling of being honoured by the inner king. Revise any sense of neglect and feel-it-real that you are already exalted in the I AM.
