Biblical Context
Esther stands in the court before the king; he sees her and grants favor by extending the golden sceptre, and she approaches and touches it.
Neville's Inner Vision
Esther 5:2 is a doorway into the Neville Goddard psychology: Esther stands in the inner court, and the king sees her because she has become the living state of consciousness called favor. The court is a mental disposition; the golden sceptre is the symbol of your assumed I AM acknowledged by the inner king. When Esther draws near and touches the sceptre, she does not compel a favor from without; she confirms a reality already established within. Your favor appears the moment you persist in the feeling that you are the beloved of the I AM, that your actions flow from an inner authority that cannot be denied. The outward king extending the sceptre is the sign that your inner decree has taken form; the touch is the moment of receipt, the felt sense that you are received, protected, and empowered. Practice turning away from lack and toward the inward signal of approval, and you will see the outer scene respond as a faithful echo of your inner assumption.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, stand in the king's court of your mind, and declare, I am already favored; feel the inner warmth as the sceptre touches my being and reality shifts.
