Esther 4:6-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Esther 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Esther's messenger Hatach carries Mordecai's report to Esther at the king's gate, recounting the plot and the decree against the Jews, and the charge that Esther plead for her people before the king.
Neville's Inner Vision
Esther represents the inner state facing a decree that seems to threaten all. The report of Mordecai and the money offered to destroy them is the outer data your attention gathers as evidence. Hatach, the messenger, is the inner faculty that carries the sense of the problem to the center of consciousness. The copy of the decree is a memory of limitation, and showing it to Esther is the turning of awareness toward the perceived obstacle. The charge to go in unto the king to plead for her people is an invitation to enter the I Am, to petition from the seat of the highest awareness. When Esther consents to go before the king, the outer decree loses its final authority because you recognize that the king resides within you, and your power to protect the many lies in the I Am. The events reveal fear as a belief that can be revised. Your people symbolize the unity and prosperity that emerge when you align with the inner ruler and act from faith rather than timid reaction.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, close your eyes, and imagine Hatach delivering the report to your inner Esther. Then picture that you have already spoken to the inner king for your people and feel the relief as real.
