Biblical Context
Esther summons Hatach, who goes to Mordecai at the king’s gate. Mordecai tells him everything that has happened and the money Haman promised to pay to destroy the Jews.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this scene, the outer actors mirror your inner state. Esther’s call for Hatach is your awareness summoning the messenger of what is, and Mordecai’s briefing is the mind’s report of beliefs and fears that seem to empower a destroyer. The promised money represents the power you have given to external appearances—money, influence, and rumor—that would fund a story of loss. Yet the theatre of the king’s gate is not a historical trap but a symbol of your own consciousness where all plots arise. The key idea is that nothing is truly happening to you except the movements of your own I AM—the awareness that creates reality. By naming and hearing these movements, you gain the authority to revise them. Hatach’s journey and Mordecai’s message show that the turning point lies in recognizing what is being believed and by whom it is being believed. When you perceive that your life is governed by inner states, you can reframe the scene from threat to protection, and set the stage for a new, healing outcome.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume you are Esther and send Hatach to fetch the truth from Mordecai within you; hear the internal report as your own awareness. Then revise the scene by declaring, 'I AM the protection and reality of my life,' and feel that certainty now.
