Biblical Context
Esther 2:12-14 describes a year of purification for each maiden before she may enter the king; the outcome depends on the king's delight, symbolizing the inner state needed for access.
Neville's Inner Vision
From the I AM perspective, Esther 2:12–14 speaks not of physical ritual but of the mind's law for entering the king of your being. The twelve months of purification become the soul’s discipline: the six months with oil of myrrh and six with sweet odours represent cleansing beliefs and cherished sensitivities until they soften and align with the inner ruler you call king. When the maiden goes in to the king, it is your attention entering the presence within, and whatever she desires is given her to take from the outer house into the king’s chamber—a symbol of how your assumption, once established, travels from imagination into realization by the I AM that you are. The second house of the women, and the rule that she does not see the king again unless he delights in her, points to the truth that sustained entry depends upon the state you maintain in consciousness. Therefore, cultivate an inner delight with the king, so that the world must answer to that aligned state. Your work is to remain in the consciousness that you are already in the king’s presence and all is yours.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already in the king's presence; feel the wish fulfilled and live there for 5–7 minutes, then release with gratitude.
