Ephesians 5:17-18

Biblical Context

These lines call you to discern the Lord's will and avoid excess; instead, cultivate a life filled with the Spirit.

Neville's Inner Vision

Verse 5:17-18 invites you to wake from illusion and claim a state: the will of the Lord is the inward principle by which you live. You are not asked to seek outside yourself; you are asked to awaken to the realization that your I AM already knows and selects. The wine of excess symbolizes a drift that dulls the inner ear and hides the quiet, discerning voice within. To be filled with the Spirit is to inhabit a new vibrational atmosphere, where imagination acts as the directing faculty of your life. When you assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled—living as if you already stand in accord with divine intention—the inner state projects outward as harmony, right choices, and clear discernment. This is not external ritual but inner transformation. The Will is your awareness; the Spirit is the life of that awareness moving through you. Practice by returning to the I AM moment and sustaining the feeling, 'I am guided by the Lord's will, now.'

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, breathe, and assume the state 'I am the will of the Lord fully expressed through me.' See yourself making decisions with perfect discernment; hold that feeling for a minute, then return to ordinary activity.
