Light Reproves the Inner World

Ephesians 5:11-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ephesians 5 in context

Scripture Focus

11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Ephesians 5:11-13

Biblical Context

The passage urges you to detach from unfruitful works of darkness and to expose them with light; what is reproved is made manifest by light, revealing truth.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this verse the darkness is not an external foe but a state of consciousness you have identified with. To 'have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness' means refusing to partner with thoughts and habits that keep you bound in fear, secret shame, or hidden acts. The act of reproof is the I AM turning toward the shadow and declaring that it does not belong to your true self. The warning about shame points to the cost of nourishing darkness by giving it airtime in your mind; cease the commentary and let your inner sight do its work. When light—your awareness—enters a situation, all that is reproved is exposed by that light, and what is exposed is transformed into light itself. Therefore the inner realm changes not by punishment but by the gentle shift of belief through recognition. By abiding as the I AM, you allow hidden things to surface, and the surface of your life becomes bright with holiness, righteousness, and faithful obedience.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Close your eyes and declare, 'I am the light that reveals all things.' Rest in that truth, and picture each fragment of unfruitful darkness dissolving into brightness, until it feels real.
