Inner Forgiveness Stream

Ephesians 4:31-32 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ephesians 4 in context

Scripture Focus

31Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:31-32

Biblical Context

Ephesians 4:31-32 urges you to shed bitterness, wrath, anger, and malice, and to be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving toward others, mirroring God's forgiveness in Christ.

Neville's Inner Vision

Begin with the truth that the verse speaks to your inner state, not others' behavior. Bitterness, wrath, and malice are inner vibrations you permit in your own consciousness; you disarm them by assuming a different state. The I AM within you—God in you—forgives because it knows itself as love. So you too forgive by shifting your attention to that divine fact. Do not try to fix people outwardly; revise the scene in your mind so you feel kindness toward them as your permanent disposition. When you dwell there, the external quarrel loses its grip, and forgiveness flows as a natural expression of your true self. The command to be kind and tender-hearted is the invitation to live from your corrected state. Forgiveness is not just an act but a revised state of being you vividly feel and inhabit. Practice by assuming you already are forgiving; feel it real, and watch your relationships align with your inner peace.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume you are already the forgiving one—feel kindness toward a specific person as your present state; repeat 'I am kind; I am forgiven' until it feels real.
