Putting On the New Man
Ephesians 4:24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ephesians 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul invites you to clothe your life with a new self fashioned by God. The new man is your true identity, defined by righteousness and holiness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your scripture is not asking you to chase a distant virtue; it is awakening you to a dormant reality within. When Paul says put on the new man, he invites you to clothe yourself with a consciousness that God has already created in righteousness and true holiness. The new man is your inner state, not a new set of rules. Your world answers to the state you inhabit. To assume it is to align your inner eye with the order of the Kingdom and permit it to reorganize your thoughts, feelings, and deeds. The act of putting on is a revision: You revise who you are by the assumption that you already are the man (or woman) created in God's likeness. Remember: imagination creates reality. If you dwell in the feeling of the new man—identity rooted in righteousness and holiness—you will notice changes in perception, choices, and relationships, as the outer reflects the inner. You are not becoming; you are awakening to the truth of what you already are.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, 'I am the new man, created in righteousness and true holiness.' Dwell in that feeling for five minutes, letting it color your next decision.
