Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. The verse invites a change of inner thinking that reshapes your life.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the command is not to mend the world outside but to awaken to the truth of your I AM—the living, aware you that never changes. When Paul bids you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, he speaks of a new state of consciousness, a fresh atmosphere in which your thoughts, beliefs, and desires are rearranged by light. You are not asked to obtain renewal from without; you must withdraw into the inner workshop of your own awareness and imagine from the end. The 'spirit of the mind' is the vibrational tone you maintain in your inward sanctuary. To renew it is to revise every self-story that no longer serves your highest good, to practice discernment that chooses truth over fear, faith over doubt. As you dwell in a reality that already exists in imagination—your true self made new—you will awaken to new creations in your experience: relationships, work, health reflecting the altered state. Remember: imagination creates reality; you are today what you have assumed in the depths of consciousness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: In the next moment, assume you are already renewed; feel the calm, clear awareness of the new mind and revise a current limitation by declaring, 'I am renewed in the spirit of my mind,' and live from that state throughout the day.
