The Inner Body of Growth
Ephesians 4:14-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ephesians 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul warns against being children blown about by every new doctrine and urges speaking truth in love and growing into Christ, the head. The passage then describes a united body edifying itself in love as each part contributes.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within your awareness, the winds of doctrine are simply shifting mental pictures. Do not identify with the childlike doubt; instead, align with the one head, Christ—the I AM you are. When you speak truth in love in your inner life, you harmonize belief and feeling, and your inner body—your states of consciousness—begins to fit together. The so‑called deception of world appearances fades as your attention rests in a single, unwavering unity. The other parts of you—thoughts, fears, desires—find their place by the measure of every part, as you acknowledge you are one whole body edifying itself in love. This is not struggle but recognition: return to the living sense of unity, and your outward world will echo the increase of that edifying love.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, assume you are the one body, already fitly joined and edified in love. If separation arises, revise the scene by repeating, 'I am united; every part supports the whole, and the whole grows in love.'
