Inner Ministry of Grace
Ephesians 3:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ephesians 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse says the speaker was made a minister by the gift of grace, given through the effectual working of God's power. In plain terms, ministry arises from grace moving in and through consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider Paul’s words as a statement about states of consciousness. 'Made a minister' is not authority given from outside, but a becoming within: a role assumed by the I AM that you are. The 'gift of the grace of God' is the favorable condition of awareness that allows function to blossom—grace not as chance, but as inner readiness you awaken by attention. 'Given unto me by the effectual working of his power' means your inner energy is organized and energized by the precise focus of imagination. When you dwell in the feeling of being governed by grace, your inner faculties align; what you once thought separate tasks—deliverance, service, expression—are now movements of one living I AM acting in you. The minister within you is the form your consciousness takes when you cease protesting limitation and let power operate through love, clarity, and steadfast faith. You do not earn this by struggle; you allow it by embracing the truth that grace and power are your natural state, already at work in you, shaping your world. Let imagination be the instrument through which God's power works within you, guiding your choices and openings.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, assume you already are the minister of your life, empowered by grace. Feel the inner power moving as you affirm, 'I am now at work as the minister through God's grace.'
