Inner Strength Through Ephesians
Ephesians 3:16-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ephesians 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul prays for believers to be inwardly strengthened by the Spirit, for Christ to dwell in their hearts by faith, rooted in love, so they may grasp the vastness of God's love and be filled with His fullness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your awareness is the power at work; the verse asks you to be strengthened with might by the Spirit of God in the inner man, not by external force. When Christ dwells in your heart by faith, you invite the living presence of your inner Christ to take residence now, as your I AM made visible in experience. To be rooted and grounded in love means your sense of self rests in love as the solid soil of being; from that ground you measure life by the breadth, length, depth, and height of divine reality. To know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, is to live in an experiential knowing that arises when you dwell in the feeling of being loved and loving in return. If this becomes your pattern, you are filled with all the fullness of God—the consciousness expands to hold divine life as your ordinary state. You are not changing God; you are awakening to God within you, here and now.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, place a hand on your chest, and repeat, 'I am strengthened by the Spirit within' until it feels true. Then imagine Christ dwelling in your heart by faith, rooted and grounded in love, and let the fullness of God saturate your being for a minute or two.
