Dwelling By Faith Within

Ephesians 3:14-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ephesians 3 in context

Scripture Focus

14For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Ephesians 3:14-21

Biblical Context

Paul’s prayer trains the heart to access God from within. He asks that you be strengthened by the Spirit in the inner man, rooted in love, so Christ may dwell there and you may know the breadth and depth of God’s love.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this text your true throne room is the inner consciousness, and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is the I AM you awaken to. The prayer is not about begging an out there God, but about turning your attention inward and declaring that the Spirit of might has already been planted in the inner man. When you consent to Christ dwelling in your heart by faith, you are not inviting a stranger; you are recognizing your essential unity with the Divine Presence and letting love root you deeply. The fourfold measure—breadth, length, height, and depth—becomes a map of awareness: you can know infinitely more by resting in love than by chasing knowledge; love is the vehicle by which you are filled with the fullness of God. The verse ends in praise because, once this inner state is established, power works through you beyond anything you asked or imagined. You are not powerless, but empowered by the same source that breathes the universe into being, operating now in you and through you as you acknowledge it.

Practice This Now

Assume you are strengthened with might by the Spirit in the inner man; feel Christ dwelling in your heart by faith. Revise any sense of separation by silently affirming, 'I and the indwelling Christ are one now.'
