Biblical Context
Ephesians 2:6-7 says God raised us up with Christ and seated us in heavenly places, so that His grace may be shown across the ages.
Neville's Inner Vision
To grasp this text is to enter a conscious revision. The heavenlies are not somewhere over the horizon but the center of your awareness—the I AM. When you are 'raised up together' and 'seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus,' you are simply choosing a new stage on which to act: a state of knowing yourself as loved, intact, and infused with grace. This is the transformation of self from striving to resting in the fact of your nobility. The 'ages to come' become the unfolding display of grace as your inner atmosphere shifts; the outer world mirrors that shift because you no longer seek grace as a future gift but recognize it as your native condition. As you dwell in this awareness, you invite every moment to be shaped by the kindness of God toward you in Christ Jesus, here and now.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: sit quietly, assume you are already seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, and feel the seated, grace-filled presence as the reality of your being.
