Ephesians 2:19-22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ephesians 2 in context

Scripture Focus

19Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:19-22

Biblical Context

Believers are no longer strangers but fellow citizens and members of God's household. They are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone, growing into a holy temple by the Spirit.

Neville's Inner Vision

Picture the church as an inner city: you are no longer a stranger but a fellow citizen, a member of the household of God. The foundation is laid in your own awareness by the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ Himself as the chief cornerstone. When you hold this inward image, the building rises in your mind, fitly framed together into a holy temple in the Lord. The Spirit's habitation is not somewhere else; it is your I AM—your present consciousness—that makes this house real. Each moment of inner alignment strengthens the walls; each revision that says 'I am already in the presence' fixes the corners more securely. The outer world then mirrors the inner dwelling. So you practice until your imagination is the architect and builder of the concrete life, knowing that the habitation of God through the Spirit is here, now, inside you.

Practice This Now

Assume you are already inside the temple of God. In the next five minutes, feel the cornerstone of Christ settling in your chest, and the Spirit filling your entire being with a warm, unifying Presence.
