Peace Proclaimed to All States
Ephesians 2:17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ephesians 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Peace is proclaimed to both those afar and those near. All people are invited into the same inner state of peace.
Neville's Inner Vision
Peace was not brought to some distant crowd nor withheld from the near; it is announced inside the council of your own awareness. The 'afar' and the 'near' signify differentiated states of mind—one believing itself cut off from grace, the other clinging to the illusion of closeness. The preacher Jesus (Paul’s message) is the I AM within you, silently declaring: you are at peace now. When you assume peace as a present fact, you invite harmony into every department of life; the world bends to your inner conviction because you are not petitioning a distant God, you are becoming the God I AM in action. The moment you concede that Peace is already operative in your consciousness, you reverse the sense of lack and separation. Do not seek peace; assume it, feel it, and after a consistent feeling of ‘it is done,’ your experiences will reflect it. The text simply states the law: belief in separation dissolves when you acknowledge unity with the source of peace—the I AM within you.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes, declare 'I AM peace now' and feel it settle in your chest. Rest there for 2–5 minutes and watch your outer surroundings align to that inner state.
