Inner Union Through the Cross
Ephesians 2:16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ephesians 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God reconciles both sides to Himself in one body through the cross, and the hostility between them is slain. It speaks of a unity that transcends outward division.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the two are not nations but opposed states of mind within you—separation and oneness, fear and faith, lack and fullness. The cross is the method by which you are willing to let these halves die to their enmity and rise as one body in the I AM. When you read 'reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross,' hear it as a command to your own consciousness: you reconcile the factions within by the assumption that they are already one. The I AM, God within you, transfigures the split into unity; the enmity is slain by the light of awareness that never divides. Practice pervasively: refuse to feed the picture of division; instead, feel the unity of your being as the very body through which God dwells. In this, you are not improving a situation but awakening to your true nature—one body, one life, in whom all is reconciled.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: In a moment of quiet, assume the inner posture of unity—say, I AM one with God. Feel the enmity melt as the two parts of you are joined into one body.
