Nearness By Inner Covenant

Ephesians 2:11-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ephesians 2 in context

Scripture Focus

11Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Ephesians 2:11-13

Biblical Context

Gentiles were once outsiders to God's promises, but in Christ they are brought near and included in the covenant.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner scripture of your mind, Paul names a shift from 'time past' to a present nearness. Gentiles, once outsiders, are not changed by an external rite, but by an inner recognition: you are near when you claim that the I AM is your true residence and birthright. The 'blood of Christ' is not a historical liquid, but the stream of awareness that runs through your being, weaving separation into covenant. When you dwell in the I AM and assume the feeling of your own inclusion, the sense of otherness melts and you are drawn into a single commonwealth of living promises. This is salvation as consciousness-in-action: grace becomes your habitual atmosphere, and favor flows as you revise your sense of self from 'far off' to 'near.' Do not beg for modifications; imagine and feel the fulfilled state, and your outer world will mirror the inward unity you have already realized.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume, 'I am near; I belong; I am in the covenant now.' Feel the warm presence in your chest and let that celebratory sense saturate every thought and sensation.
