Biblical Context
Paul reminds you that the Gentiles were once 'in the flesh', labeled by outward customs. The verse points to a shift from external identity to an inner covenant of awareness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember this in your heart: the Gentile in the flesh and the Uncircumcision are not two people, but two states of consciousness within you. The 'circumcision in the flesh made by hands' is the habit of seeing life through outward laws, labels, and divides. The memory is a page in your book of self that you can close. The true circumcision of the heart is a cutting away of the belief that you are separate from God, from others, from the good you desire. When you repeat 'you were Gentiles in the flesh' you are simply acknowledging a previous dream of separation; you do not remain there. By an act of consciousness you can revise that dream and awaken to the I AM that is always present, the grace that never ends, and the unity that binds all. See the walls of division dissolve as you refuse to identify with the old label. Your assumption creates your reality; by assuming the inner covenant is now established, you inhabit it. The word 'remember' is a reminder to dwell in the consciousness of union rather than history. The Gentiles are the state before realization; the circumcision is the symbol of the inner agreement you now choose. Practically, whenever you perceive separation, shift to I AM presence and feel the grace that flows through you, as if your very breath declared oneness in every moment. The inner act of circumcision is not a ritual but a reaffirmation of your unity with the Divine. When you live from that inner covenant, the outward line drawn by the hands of tradition loses its authority and you live as one community in God.
Practice This Now
Assume the inner I AM now: declare 'I am one with all' and feel the boundary dissolve. Let the dream of separation yield to grace.
