Inner Resurrection Now
Ephesians 2:1-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ephesians 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul states you were dead in trespasses and sins, and that you once walked according to the world’s course. He also declares you have been quickened by grace.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the apostle speaks not to distant times but to your inner state. Death and the ‘course of this world’ are habits of thought you have mistaken for self; the I AM within you is the living fact that awakens you from that dream. When you imagine from the vantage of the inner light, the 'prince of the power of the air'—the pull of customary opinions—loses its grip, because you are no longer the one who must chase the world’s approvals. The text speaks of a collective 'we all,' yet your personal experience is a conscious renewal: you are not made clean from without, you are re-identified with the life that already resides in you. By recognizing that you are the I AM, you cease identifying with death and begin walking in the liberty of grace. This shift comes not through fear or effort, but through the gentle impression of a new inner state becoming your fact. You are quickened; feel it real now, and notice how the outer scenes respond to that inner truth.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume the feeling, I am quickened by grace, and dwell in a scene where the inner light directs your steps. Let this vision hold for several minutes and observe the outer life rearranging to match that awakened state.
