Adopted by Grace Within

Ephesians 1:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ephesians 1 in context

Scripture Focus

5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Ephesians 1:5-6

Biblical Context

Paul reveals that God predestined us to be adopted as His children through Jesus, and that we are accepted in the Beloved to display the glory of His grace. In plain terms, this is an inward state of grace we claim by consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

View the verse as a map of your inner life. Predestination is not external fate but the decision of your I AM to claim a lasting state. The adoption is the awakening of the child within who knows I belong to the Father. Jesus Christ stands as your consciousness, drawing you into the Beloved where you are accepted not by works but by the good pleasure of the will that dwells in you. The glory of grace is the realization that you are clothed with grace, so your thoughts, feelings, and deeds reflect this acceptance. When you live from that assumption you cease striving and accept your true standing in the Beloved. The world becomes a theater for the expression of your inward lease; Providence and guidance flow as you rest in the I AM that inspired this adoption first. The moment you accept you are already adopted, the appearance of lack dissolves and you walk in the light of grace, sharing that grace with all.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume the state, and say I am adopted, I am beloved in the Beloved; feel the belonging now, and let any sense of separation dissolve.
