Biblical Context
Paul states that God has put all things under Christ's feet and made him the head over all things for the church. The church is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all in all.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this inner vision, the “things” beneath Christ's feet are not distant rulers but the patterns of your own mind when it forgets who you are. God is not above you to overpower; He is the I AM—your awareness behind every scene. To declare that He has put all things under his feet is to affirm that any circumstance can be brought beneath a higher order of consciousness—the Head, your radiant center. The “head over all things to the church” is the ruling idea within you, the higher self that commands the body. The church is not a building but the living organism of your awareness—the body that is the fullness of Him who fills all in all. When you dwell as this Head, fullness pours through every cell, thought, and relationship until nothing remains outside divine completeness. You are not seeking the kingdom; you are the kingdom appearing as your life. Practice by loosening the grip of limitation and allowing the I AM to reign, seeing all as obedient to the Head.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In silence, assume the posture of the Head and softly declare, "I am the Head over all things to the church; all things are under my feet." Feel the fullness of God filling all you touch, and carry that sensation into your day.
