Luminous Inheritance Within

Ephesians 1:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ephesians 1 in context

Scripture Focus

11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Ephesians 1:11-12

Biblical Context

Paul tells us we have obtained an inheritance through God's predestined plan and will. The result is that we live to praise His glory, grounded in the trust we place in Christ.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the verse, the inheritance is not a distant prize but a present state of consciousness already secured by the I AM you call God. Predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things after the counsel of His own will means the divine mind has already fixed your inner posture to harmonize with that purpose. When you acknowledge the Christ within—that awakening of God as your own awareness—your life naturally aligns with its plan. The clause 'to the praise of his glory' becomes an inner cause: as you trust the Christ within, you become the living expression of that glory. Providence and guidance arrive as felt nudges, certainties, and synchronistic events that testify to the divine design being worked in you. Salvation and redemption unfold as you maintain the assumption that you are the heir now, not in some future moment; faith is the lever by which mind yields to its own vision, turning impressions into reality.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume you are the heir now; feel the truth of 'it is done' and let daily events reflect that inner state.
