Read Ecclesiastes 9 in context

Scripture Focus

4For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
Ecclesiastes 9:4

Biblical Context

Being joined to the living brings hope. Life and present vitality are more valuable than any dead form.

Neville's Inner Vision

To be joined to all the living is to dwell in the I AM, the living awareness that creates your world. The verse points to a simple truth: consciousness that refuses life and presence becomes a dead lion; consciousness that stays with the living generates hope. The living dog represents vitality, flexibility, and the readiness to respond to the present moment; the dead lion embodies memory, past greatness, and the illusion that what once roared still rules. When you identify with the I AM, you are not seeking life elsewhere: you are the living center that makes life appear. Hope arises because you have not broken fellowship with the present; you have chosen to persist in the actuality of life here and now. The inner movement is this: assume the state of being joined to the living, feel the reality of that life, and let images of your desired end arise from this living consciousness. In that act, you revise your world from the center of I AM, and what seems impossible becomes present in your experience.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and assume the living state now; repeat I AM joined to the living and feel the vitality coursing through you, then imagine your desired renewal as already real.
