Wisdom Wins Within
Ecclesiastes 9:18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ecclesiastes 9 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse asserts wisdom is superior to warlike force, but a single corrupted belief can ruin much good. In Neville's terms, inner states create outer effects.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of wisdom as your inner discernment—the I AM aware that sees what truly serves life. The verse teaches that wisdom is stronger than any weapon, yet a fault arises when a single sinner—an unworthy belief, a sense of lack, a guilt-image—enters consciousness and destroys much good you have labored to create. This sinner is not a person apart; it is a thought that says, 'things must be defended or controlled,' and once entertained, it unravels the harmony you have established. When you encounter such a thought, refuse its authority and return to the sovereign state of wisdom. Assume the state that already knows what is right, feels the truth of abundance, and acts from mercy, not fear. Feel it real: you are the one who gives form to events by living from that inner realization. As you persist, the outer scene reorders itself to reflect your inner alignment. In this way, you disarm the imagined foe and preserve the good you intend.
Practice This Now
Assume the state of the wise observer now; revise any fear-based thought by declaring, 'I AM the wisdom that preserves good.' Then feel the reality of that inner alignment radiating into your world.
