Scripture Focus

16Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.
17The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
18Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.
Ecclesiastes 9:16-18

Biblical Context

Wisdom is declared to be superior to strength. Yet the poor man’s wisdom often goes unheard; true power lies in inner discernment that survives external noise.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the lines I read, wisdom is declared superior to strength, and the world’s loud rulers often despise the insight of the poor. Yet in my kingdom, strength is only a symbol; wisdom is the inward posture of awareness that imagines reality into being. The quiet words of the wise are heard in the silence of imagination, not in the clamor of fools. When you assume the state of the wise, you align perception with a rhythm that outlasts thunderous action; you do not deny circumstance, you refashion it from within. The sinner who destroys much good is the doubt, the fear, the sharp voice of limitation arising in your mind. To change it, revise the inner scene until the end you seek is already accomplished. Feel it real that your inner life governs every event; belief in separation dissolves as you realize you are the I AM, the speaker and the act. The power here is fidelity to inner truth, not violence; a quiet, steadfast conviction moves worlds.

Practice This Now

Assume the inner state of the wise now. Silently revise a present conflict as already resolved and feel that certainty fill your chest.
