Read Ecclesiastes 9 in context

Scripture Focus

16Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.
Ecclesiastes 9:16

Biblical Context

Wisdom is better than strength. The verse notes that the poor man's wisdom and words are often dismissed.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider that wisdom is not a mere attribute of the strong man; wisdom is a state of consciousness you awaken in the I AM. When I say, 'wisdom is better than strength,' I am pointing you to the inner measure by which you live. The poor man's wisdom, though by the world deemed lowly and his words unheard, is the exact inner quality that remains when all outward advantage is stripped away. Your world is a reflection of your inner state; if you cling to the belief that force governs your fate, the wise voice remains unheeded. But if you turn within and affirm, 'I am the wisdom that speaks through every scene,' you replace hearing with listening and listening with creation. The despised voice is not lacking; it has been displaced by your attention. Fix your attention on the awareness that animates words, and let that awareness revise the scene so the quiet wisdom is heard, not by others, but by your own consciousness as reality.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the inner state 'I am wisdom speaking now.' Hear that voice as already heard and revise the scene so your words are acknowledged in your mind.
