Time, Chance, and Inner Destiny
Ecclesiastes 9:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Outward measures—swift feet, strong battles, wise minds, and skilled hands—do not guarantee success; instead, time and chance touch them all. The passage invites us to look inward, recognizing that consciousness, not external traits, determines outcomes.
Neville's Inner Vision
I return to you with the same note: the sun you speak of is your own mind; in your consciousness, the race, the battle, the bread, the riches are already decided. The verse declares that none of these outer qualifications guarantee results; time and chance visit everyone according to the state of inner belief. Yet time and chance are not distant enigmas; they are the rhythm of your inner state, the natural unfolding of your I AM when it is convinced of its own fulfilled desire. When you accept that the I AM within you already possesses what you seek, you do not chase after the swift or the strong; you align with the assumption of completion and feel the end in the present moment. In that inner alignment, events begin to rearrange themselves to match your state, and conditions appear to hurry toward you rather than you toward them. So take this verse as a map: revise your self-image until you can feel, here and now, the truth that your wish is already yours, and watch how time and chance fall in place beneath your renewed conviction.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the wish fulfilled as if it is already yours, feeling the reality here and now. Persist in that inner certainty until time and chance yield to your revised state of consciousness.
