Inner Time, Spirit, Obedience

Ecclesiastes 8:5-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ecclesiastes 8 in context

Scripture Focus

5Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment.
6Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him.
7For he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be?
8There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.
Ecclesiastes 8:5-8

Biblical Context

Keep the commandment yields safety from evil; a wise heart discerns the timing and judgment of events, while life’s powers remain beyond human control.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine that you are standing within the I AM, the awareness that creates. To keep the commandment is to align with that inner law, not to obey a distant external code. When you assume that state, evil fades to a memory and your inner weather settles into peace. The wise heart discerns time and judgment by feeling the season within; it knows when to act and what judgment to render, not by haste but by the rhythm of consciousness. To every purpose there is time and judgment, so you recognize the inner rhythm of events before they appear outwardly. You cannot command the spirit or the day of death from without, for power lies in your inner state alone. Yet the I AM that you are governs all, and through faithful inner alignment you are delivered from fear. The lesson is simple: true power comes from obedience to your inner law, which dissolves fear and reveals your rightful reality.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume you are kept by the inner law now; revise your state into peace and feel it real.
