Biblical Context
Keeping the commandment keeps you from evil, and a wise heart discerns time and judgment. Life’s purposes have seasons, and misery arises when one resists that cadence.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your inner state is the commandment you keep. When you align yourself with the immutable I AM, you feel no evil thing because you are no longer at the mercy of external circumstance. The 'time' and 'judgment' spoken of are not events to fear, but the natural cadence of your own mind as it organizes ideas, feelings, and purposes. To every intention there is a season of growth, and the moment you accept this seasonal law, the misery that comes from resistance dissolves. The wise heart discerns when to act, and what to judge as true; you learn to move in harmony with the inner tempo rather than fighting the tempo of appearances. The outer world reflects your interior alignment: as you assume the end, as you revise the mental image to include fulfillment, the world rearranges to fit that image. The commandment you keep is simply your fidelity to the end you desire and to the feeling that the end is already accomplished. Trust this, and fear and confusion fade into the background.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, I have kept the commandment; feel the end as already mine. Then revise your sense of time by dwelling in the certainty that the right moment is now.
