Biblical Context
Ecclesiastes 8:17 says that the total work of God cannot be uncovered by human effort or even by a wise mind, reminding us of the limits of external understanding.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you the work of God is not a riddle to be solved by the external mind, but a living order you already carry as I AM. When the text says that a man cannot find out the work under the sun, it invites you to stop chasing after appearances and to attend to the inner state that is the cause of all you see. The wise who taxes thought for answers remains at the edge of the mystery; the wise who rests in presence and feeling crosses over into the truth that the divine activity is your own awareness in action. The 'work of God' is the steady manifestation of your inner life, the pattern by which intention becomes form. By assuming the state of the wish fulfilled and dwelling in the feeling that it is already real, you cease striving and let the unseen order move through you. Thus you obtain not by analysis but by alignment—your consciousness becomes the instrument by which heaven expresses on earth. Remember, under the sun is a reminder to listen to the quiet I AM within and allow it to guide you from within outward.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Sit quietly, declare 'I am one with the I AM; this situation is now resolved in my inner life' and feel the relief and certainty as if the thing is done. Repeat daily until it feels natural.
