Inner Accord: Fear God Always

Ecclesiastes 8:12-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ecclesiastes 8 in context

Scripture Focus

12Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him:
13But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.
Ecclesiastes 8:12-13

Biblical Context

A sinner may prosper and live long. Those who fear God will be well, while the wicked will not prolong their days.

Neville's Inner Vision

Remember: God is the I AM within you. The apparent prosperity of a sinner is a surface movement; the inner law says, 'I am well' when I align with the I AM. Fear of God means you keep faith with the consciousness that governs your days. The line 'shall be well' is the feeling-state you cultivate from within, not a promise of external luck. The wicked, who fear not before God, are not sustained by that inner life; their days shrink because they have starved their inner light. When you inhabit the state of the just, you breathe as one who is forever in the present moment of being; your days lengthen only in the sense that your accuracy grows, not in time. The world then unfolds to reflect your inner certainty; you meet law by design. The revision is simple: if you fear not before God, your life softens; if you reckon with the I AM as your reality, you live in the present well-being that was always yours.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume the feeling of the I AM, and dwell in the sense that all is well because you are awareness; hold this for a few minutes, revising any doubt until it feels real.
